Troubadours

Week 11: Medieval Europe IDs

Troubadours

Okay, A troubadour (from the Dictionary.com definition) is:

1.one of a class of 12th-century and 13th-century lyric poets in Southern France, Northern Italy, and Northern Spain, who composed songs in langue d'oc often about courtly love.

and 2. A strolling minstrel or singer

Troubadours usually travel many miles, so back then they were used for sharing news and helping trade.

Thought I might add a cute little picture of a Troubadour :D
