Tokugawa Ieyasu: Super Shogun

Tokugawa Ieyasu was the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate in Japan which ruled from 1600 to 1868. Tokugawa Ieyasu was the shogun for 13 years. He was born to a minor daimyo house and became an ally of a man named Hideyoshi. He was able to build up power through this alliance. When Hideyoshi died, he was able to gain power from the fighting that ensued. He then consolidated his power and created the Tokugawa Shogunate. His rule put an end to the civil warring in Japan at that time and created a lasting administration.
