The Magna Carta

The Magna Carta had many names, “Great Charter” “Great Paper” and “Great Charter of Freedom”. It was first made in 1215. It was the first start of law, which leads to the one America, has today. It was originally written because of the disagreements between Pope Innocent III vs. King John and his English barons. They were arguing over the rights that a king has. The Magna Carta required the king give up certain rights that he had previously had.

The Magna Carta has also affected the U.S.A. by the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights, also many of England’s laws today
